While 99% of the books that are reviewed on this blog are purchased by me (or borrowed from the local library), there will occasionally be a book that was received for review from an author or publisher.
In that event, please know that all opinions are my own and I do not accept compensation in return for a positive review. If a book is not within the genres that I typically read, I will not accept it as I feel I would not be able to give it a fair review.
Authors & Publishers
I love reading and am always looking for new authors, fresh books and interesting stories to add to my library. Keeping that in mind, I generally stick to selected genres because I know that my joy of reading comes from the desire to read a book and not feel the pressure to 'force' myself to fall outside of my interests.

- Mystery/Suspense
- Thriller
- Chick Lit
- Christmas/Halloween themed stories
- Dystopian (to a degree)
